Construction Videos
These videos were part of a series of social media advertising videos focusing on the individual regional managers and the regions they serve. Each video featured the owner of the business introducing a regional manager and then discussing the project they were working on. As much as possible, each video was designed to tell a semi-linear story of the building’s roof being removed and then replaced. Some of these videos took multiple shoot days to accomplish, but most were filmed within a single day.
For all of these videos, I was the sole producer and crew. Pre-production was mostly discussions with the business owner to determine what he was looking for in the videos. For production I brought all the necessary video equipment to the location, captured all b-roll in real-time, worked with the owner and regional managers on their scripts, and filmed their shots. The drone footage was provided to me by either a third party, the owner, or the regional managers. Post-production for all of the videos followed the same basic format. I determined the best takes for dialogue, selected the best shots to tell the story, added appropriate music, added basic motion graphics such as the business logo and phone number, and did basic color correction/grading. Most of these videos took only one or two rounds to achieve the client’s vision.
